hello, i just started wearing contacts a week ago and today i was just laying down when i noticed that the vision in my left eye became very bad, so i went to the bathroom and i saw that my left contact was gone. so i looked around my bed and my room and i couldn't find it. so i was wondering if its possible to lose a contact in your eye? Nothing hurts right now so i believe that the contact just fell out without me knowing but i just wanna know if they could get lost in your eye.

  1. actually, this Has happened to me, Ive been wearing contacts since i was ten and several times, my contact has gotten "lost" in my eye. most of the time it happened after i had taken a nap with the contacts still in, or after a movie. try putting drops in your eye, blinking a few times, and do it again. it should come to place on its own, ad no you might not feel it stuck in your eye especially if your contacts are comfortable, or if youve been wearing them for several yrs.

if this didnt work, then yes, the contact fell without your knowledge....

  2. sucks for u.. thats why i am not getting contacts. thats the only reason.

  3. It can't just "fall out" I've been wearing them since early April. WHta happened to me when they slipped was they went to my lower eye. You'd feel discomfort if it was in the corner. Pull your lower lid as far down as it will go, and put solution on your finger and feel around for it.

    Hope this helps :]

  4. go to the doctor or optometrist and get them to look at your eyes. it is very possible it is still in your eye, or it may have just fallen out and you just cant find it. get it looked at straight away because it can cause some problems when it has been in there for a while.

  5. I asked my optometrist this exact question when I first started wearing contacts and she said that this couldn't happen!

Most likely it just fell out and you hadn't noticed.

  6. They can just fall out.  I woke up one night with mine stuck to my leg.  Another time, I lost it in my upper eyelid, and it fell out whole I was at the bar.  To answer your question, yes, it can get wadded up in your eye somewhere, but you will have a burning sensation.
