Question:

Contacts may be off?

I just got contacts last thursday, and I still haven't gotten used to them at all. My docter said both eyes have the same persciption, but one time they switched the lenses in my glasses and it threw me way off, I had to go in and get the lenses switched, so I know my eyes are different. But the docter said it was such a small fraction that it didn't mattter, but I'm noticing it. My perceptions off and everything just looks...weird. Also I can't see well close up with the contacts. When I close my left eye everything is perfectly normal but when I close my right eye everythings off. I'm pretty sure this is do to my eyes being slightly different. So do I need to go into the eye docter and have my perscription altered? Or is this normal for contacts?

  1. You should give it at least about a week to get used to. Contacts usually require an adjustment period.

Although your past prescriptions may show a slight difference between your eyes, your eyes and prescription can change from year to year.

However, if you continue to have a problem after a few more days, make sure to go back to the optometrist and let him know. He should gladly try to fix things for you.
