  1. If you have soft contacts you should be fine. I don't know anything about gas permeables. If in doubt, wear the glasses.

  2. Wear your contacts and bring your glasses (along with the contact case) just in case. Make sure you close your eyes when you think you'll be getting wet. After you've worn contacts for a couple months, it becomes second nature to protect your contacts when getting splashed or something. No worries. It's not gonna kill you to wear your glasses if you have/want to change.

Or you could just wear goggles the whole time. But I don't think you'll want to do that.  :D

    Don't worry about it.

  3. my sister has glasses and she doesnt even wear them too often to places like that. If you have ALOT of trouble seeing though, wear glasses. They have these straps so they wont fall off your head. You cant get contacts wet.

  4. when i go i take my glasses off before going into the water i put them in between my towel i can't wear my contacts either.

  5. Depending on the water park, you may not be allowed to wear glasses on some of the rides (e.g. the big slides). You'll want to wear contacts unless you are comfortable getting around without correction (I'm too nearsighted to get away with that). Keep your eyes closed when you go under water or when you get splashed.

Even if you don't get a contact washed out of your eye, soft contact lenses do pose a small risk of infection. The material that the soft lenses are made up absorbs impurities like a sponge. Once in the lens, those impurities are held right next to your eye. My eye doctor told me there is a small chance that the lens can pick up a water-borne fungus, so she asked me to wear daily-wear contacts when I swim. (If the lenses pick up bad stuff, my eyes won't be exposed for more than a few hours.)

Rigid gas permeables are bullet-proof, so you don't have to worry about those holding onto impurities. (My eye doctor said this was fine.) I wore this type of lens for many years when swimming. For several years I chose not to wear them during competition. The only time I ever lost a lens was during the take-out or insert process. I never lost a lens since I decided to wear them full-time.

So if you aren't very near-sighted, wearing glasses might be the wise choice. Just be prepared to take them off for some rides. If you would feel more comfortable with contacts and you wear soft lenses, daily-wears are the way to go.

  6. Wear your contacts and bring an extra pair along in case you happen to lose one. I don't think it should be a problem. I wear contacts and have gone swimming with them, with no trouble. You aren't supposed to get them wet, but if you happen to...nothing usually happens.

  7. I wore contacts at the water park and they did not fall out. Just don't open your eyes under water. Don't you wear contacts in the shower? Do you ever have problems there? You should be fine with contacts in. Better than losing your glasses on a slide, or dealing with trying to see through the water droplets all day.
