  1. Get glasses.

    If you already have a

    pair of glasses then get contacts;

    because you need a back up pair

    of glasses in case your eye becomes

    infected from your contacts.

  2. i would get an op if my eyes required it. but glasses are fine i think contacts are too expensive. oh and i think glasses on people looks hot.(not me)

  3. Glasses are always a great choice but some people like contacts more. I would recommend that if you get contacts to get glasses too. Simply because if you get an eye infection you cannot wear your contacts. They typically do not hurt people, the only time i would think they would hurt is for a new wearer when they are learning to put them in and take them out. If you do it too many times then you can irritate your eye causing it to be painful but it's not too bad. I don't think they hurt and i've worn them before. The time it takes to put them in depends on the person and how long they have been wearing contacts. For some people it takes just a second for others it takes two or three tries.

  4. Contacts are very hard to start wearing.  However, once they are in they don't really hurt at all, aside from the occasional case of minor dry eye.  Also, putting them depends on the person.  When you first get them it might take 10-15 minutes, but after you've had some practice they can take 10 seconds.  It's really a matter of adjustment.

  5. The best thing to do is have a chat to your Optom, I am sure he/she will recommend you try glasses first then look at trying contact lenses. After you get used to fitting  Contacts they should not hurt nor irritate your eyes, if they do then they are not fitted correctly and may be the wrong brand for you  or you may be doing something wrong i.e not cleaning them correctly,There are plenty of different lenses ava. there are night and day contacts, that you wear up 30 times, or daily ones that you dispose of every day, ect.  If you decide to try contacts you will need to follow all instructions your optom gives to you, though it is always good to have a day or two per week where you wear your glasses.

  6. Contacts don't really hurt. Sometimes they can become dry or rub/scratch. They only take like 30 seconds to put in. When you go for your appointment you can try on some glasses to help you decide. Also consider if you take your contacts out towards end of night can you see the tv...walk around...whatever. Glasses are always available to put on...but they can also be annoying.

    If you can afford it get both. It is really worth having both!!

  7. best advise is to get both....glasses restrict u sometimes, but r easier to to use, just grab and go...contacts dont restrict u, most ppl look better without glasses, but can get annoying sometimes. putting in contacts for the first time takes a while! but after u get used to get they only take a couple of secs

  8. i have been wearing both since i was little. glasses until junior high

    it was hard to get used to getting the contact in at first, then i just got better with time. if you go with contacts, i suggest using my little trick. i out a drop of contact rewetning solution (maily blink and clean brand) in the contact then put it in. it traps in more moisture,

    just don't use bosh and lomb its bad for your lenses and can cause an infection (at least it did a few years ago)

    if you go with glasses get the plastic lenes they don't scratch, also get the transitions they change to a dark shade when you are in sunlight.

  9. Contacts will irritate your eyes if you are a beginner or if you have never tried putting them on before. Only wear them when recommended. It takes about a few months when the irritations wear off. After about 5 years or so, your eyes won't even feel contacts in them. Please be carefull because if you loose them during day time, you have to order another prescription. Glasses are appearance to your face but contacts don't show anything. It will be all worth it.

  10. contacts don't hurt sometimes they get dry it doesn't take long to put them on practice makes perfect

  11. I am partial to glasses,I've never worn contacts because without my glasses I can see OK.I won't discourage you from getting them, though.Everyone has their preferred way of correcting their vision, and if you want to get contacts, that's cool,as long as you can take care of them.I would advise you to get glasses as well so you can give your eyes a rest after wearing contact lenses. And I am sure there is a pair of glasses out there that would look just fine on you, everyone looks good in glasses as long as they pick the right pair that suits them!Good luck!
