Contacts or Not!?!?!?

I REALLY want to use color contacts but do you have to need regular contacts?!?

And also I was talking about it to my sister and her 10 year old daughter over heard and now wants color contacts does she have anything to worry about (she does not need regular contacts either)

yes you can all you have to do is go to a big wal-mart that has an optical center and the doctor will need to see you to make sure your eyes can use them. after that they will show how to use the contacts. you can buy the color contacts at the same center

Colored contact lenses that have no prescription are available for people who just want to change the color of their eyes. A CL with no rx is called a plano lens. They are a great option. However, each person does need an exam to get approved for them . The person will then be taught how to insert them, care for them, etc. There are many things that go into getting a person into the correct contact lens. The curvature of the eye, the diameter of the contact lens, etc. These are things a doctor must determine before you get a contact lens. Which is why it is important the doctor see you rather then you just getting some random contact and sticking into your eye. That could cause damage down the road or even scratch your eye if you do not know how to put them in properly. Ten years old is a little young to be a contact lens wearer but if your mom thinks she is responsible enough, maybe. Hope this helps. Good luck!

You can get colored contacts in a plano (no Rx) prescription by your eye doctor, you still need the check up as they need to get your base curve and diamater, but it wouldn't be an issue.

I would worry about your 10 yr old niece getting them as she is  rather young for that responsibility, but that's up to your sister.
