Contacts people.. what do you do when you go swimming?

I hate glasses even though they'd be easier to put on and take off before swimming. I also want to see when I'm swimming, without my contacts i'm a little blind.

Wear goggles that don't leak. It's totally ok if your eyes get wet though. Don't worry about it too much.

If your swimming for pleasure then wear your contacts with goggles or none at all. I have completely opened my eyes under water and swam and never lost a pair yet.

I wear goggles when I swim.  If you don't have goggles, then I would recommend taking the contacts out.  I would be too afraid of them coming out if you opened your eyes underwater.  If your eyesight is to the point that you really need contacts or glasses to see, wear the contacts and invest in a good pair of goggles - they run about $15.
