  1. Don't do it! It could cause bacteria and other germs to get stuck to your eyes and you could get serious infection! I know of someone who had their eyes damaged! Not worth it!!!!

  2. Most doctors will advise you not to, but I've had no problem with the water, and I've had contacts for three years.

However, I do rub my eyes a lot in the pool and in the shower and occasionally my contacts wil slide a little, but other than that, it's all good =]

  3. No you can get an eye infection and pus would be coming out of your eyes so i recommend not to

  4. Doctors would advise you NOT to wear your contacts in water, whether in the show or in the pool because of the complications that could arise, not to mention that you might lose one or both of your contacts!

A harsh dose of reality might be acanthamoeba keratitis.  An acanthamoeba is a small, one celled animal  commonly found in many water sources, such as tap water, well water and hot tubs, as well as in soil and sewage systems.  If this amoeba were to find it's way between your eye and contact lens, it could potentially cause blindness!
