Question:

Contacts..?

I have had contacts for about a year now...but I've worn them for only like 2 days. And I know it's not good to wear them after they've been worn for a month.

But I only wore it for 2 days technically. Is it ok if I wear them again? Basically I don't use them for glasses or whatever..if I go to a party i'll wear them. So can I still wear them?

Thanks!!

  1. is it the same ones you've opened a year ago? if so don't wear them. if they're just a month old they should be fine. I'm supposed to change mine out every 2 weeks(soft contacts), but I don't change them for months at a time because I don't wear them everyday. I do make sure that I change the solution because it's just more sanitary for your eyes. I wouldn't wear them if they're more than 3 months old and you haven't changed the solution! Hope that helps.

  2. well usually the bottle of solution u soak ur contacts in says how long u can keep the contacts in there i dont really understand ur question...

like u have had the same pair for a year??

and u want to wear them again...

u might wanna get new pair because a year is pretty olong time!

  3. if they're the same contacts you've had for a year, don't wear them. the one month time clock starts after you wear them the first time, because your eyes start the material the contacts are made of breaking down. It's like opening a yogurt, eating a little bit of it, and then eating the rest 6 months later. The saliva in the yogurt would've made it break down, beside the yogurt rotting. Don't wear the contacts - they won't be breathable and can cause an eye infection.

  4. ask your doctor, because it may damage your eyes even more by wearing the same ones, (even if you only wore them twice) ):
