Contacts question...?

I have been wearing contacts for 6-7 years now without any problems. I recently had an eye exam, which showed I needed to raise my left eye prescription from -3.75 to -4.00 & raise my right eye from -1.75 to -2.00.

During this exam, I had numbing drops put in my eye for a pressure test. They said it would wear off eventually.

When I put my contacts in, my vision was very blurry, like my prescription was wrong. Eventually, the right eye got better, but my left eye is the same..and I'm still sort of seeing double, which makes me very dizzy, and it would be impossible for me to drive if attempted.

I asked my doctor about this, but they say it is just the drops. Could it actually be that my left eye contact is way too strong?

Please only serious answers. I will report abusers.

Thank you in advance.
