  1. You can get colored contacts even if your vision is perfect. You need to get an en eye exam to get them. Even though your vision is perfect, the doctor needs to measure the size and shape of you eye and make sure you don't have any health issues that would make it more difficult to wear contacts like dry eye and allergies. The exam price ranges depending on where you go, you may have insurance that will help you pick up some of the bill.

Contacts are a big responsibility, I have fit kids as young as 9 in contacts, but your parents have to agree to it and your doctor has to feel like you are responsible enough to take care of them.

Colored contacts come in a 6 pack and usually run between $35-$45. You should wear each pair for two weeks and NO sleeping in them! You shouldn't wear them longer than 8-10 hours a day.

Your sister, I'm sure your not ugly, she just has to give you a bad time. Don't judge yourself on what she says, I bet in someway for some reason she's jealous of you. Don't put any stock into what she says....

  2. I wish i knew all of that but i have some blue ones but my eyes are realy hazel....i have perfect vision but i dont have dry eyes or alergies but you do need to get an ye exam tget the right size too.

  3. Hi! I first got my contacts when I was 13- and it boosted my self esteem loads. I didn't get colored ones though. you have to think about it carefully though because contacts are a lot of work to maintain properly, and many people find them uncomfortable- esp colored ones because there is less oxygen in those.

You can more or less wear them for the whole day after say, a week and a half. You start off slow, though, like day 1- 2 hours, day 2- 4 hours, and so on so your eyes adapt to having something in them all the time.

Don't let your sister get you down! Everybody feels ugly when they're 12- I certainly did. I still do- sometimes but so does everyone else.

Perhaps contact lenses are not the answer to your problems. Just believe in yourself
