Ok, heres the thing. I went and got my eye exam for contact lenses, I tried putting them in and out and in again(they wont let you have them untill you do that) and i failed. Now im wondering if i could just call them and get my perscription and size and all that stuff and just call 1-800 Contacts and have them ship a box of contacts to you. IF ITS POSSIBLE- tell me. thankyou! and please answer! and if you dont know it, guess :)

  1. yea i work in a vision center(source) . if yhey gave u samples and havent finalized the prescription u cant order. and if u try... 1800 contacts fax vision centers and verifies the prescription so u wont get them either way... so go back and try 2 put them in its not 2 hard... put ur contact on ur left pointy finger take ur left middle finger and pull down ur lower lid and take ur right middle finger and pull up ur upper lid and stick it in. make sure ur fingers r dry. good luck!

  2. no you cant do that unless you "pass" putting them in because they give you a follow-up to see if the lenses are okay.....

  3. I'd recommend going there until you can get them in and out, it's pretty important. Also don't worry if it takes you a long time, it took me 3 hours (3 separate visits) until I finally was able to do it for the first time.

  4. I wish I could give you a better answer for this, but you just have to patient and learn to insert and remove your lenses before your doctor will release them to you.  It took about me about five visits to be able to insert and remove my lens successfully.  I was able to insert the lens really easily most of the time, but removing the lens was the hard part.

I suggest checking out the DMV soft lens handler, I use this everyday and it works really well.  I can insert/remove my lens with my fingers but I prefer using this.

Good Luck and I hope you can start wearing your lenses soon.
