Okay, so one day or mailbox is filled with junk mail. Yeah, I know, everyone gets junk mail, but the odd thing is WHO these people think they're sending this mail to. We've gottten junk mail for a "Ms. asds dfgjrktkr" or "Mr. iunrth ryjhjnsjdfsw." Last time I checked, no one in our house, neighborhood, or possibly the world has those names... I've asked around, and no one else around our house seems to be getting this weird mail. Is someone playing a prank on us or is this just some sort of annoying tactic these junk mail companies are implementing on us? Because it's seriously aggravating.

  1. When you get this junk mail just write on the letter in big letters RETURN TO SENDER. The company that sent it to you has to pay for the postage back to them. If you send enough back then they will stop. I know by experience. Also by the persons name write does not live at address. You may also want to talk to the mail carrier and ask them why they keep putting mail in your box that does not belong to you. If it does not get cleared up then call the post office and ask for the post master.

  2. Your best bet is just throw it away.  And if wrong address tell the lazy postman to get with it. Find out where he lives and put in his mail box.

  3. This junk mail is obviously sourced from the internet, either by a prank, or by someone in your household signing up for it. Allow me to elaborate.

If you sign up for something over the internet, you generally have fields to enter such as name, address, etc. If you rush through one of these, people commonly get annoyed and just mash the keyboard for the name entries. Which leads me to suspect its a prank, as people would usually not mash through the name entry but correctly enter the address.

Unless you live on 123 fake street.

  4. If the junk mail says "Mr. Whoseywatzit" OR current resident, there isn't much you can do but recycle it.  Putting return to sender on it won't do any good on standard or bulk mail because there isn't the provision for return postage on that class of mail.  The Post Office will just pitch it.

Even though it will take some effort you could try getting on the website for the companies sending the junk mail and ask that the name be deleted from their mailing list.  Some companies will do it, some don't give a hoot!

  5. your address is on junk mailing list-not much you can do-if post office would make them pay full price instead of bulk it would stop some
