Antonio Conte, head coach of Juventus, while retorting to Antonio Cassano’s remarks about his morality, has gone on to give his criteria for selecting players.
The former head coach of AC Siena has been into question by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302; and the former Real Madrid central striker has gone on to quiz the morality of the current head coach of the Turin giants. In the war of words between Cassano and Juventus, the
former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 striker has gone on to state that Antonio Conte is in no position to question his morals nor give him lectures on morality. He remarked that Conte, himself, was involved in hiding information from the officials despite being in knowledge of
the matches between Siena-Novara and Albinoleffe-Siena.
The former head coach of Bari has been sentenced to a ban of ten months, which was reduced to six months upon appeal to CONI; the Italian Olympic committee. Conte refused to comment on the Scommessopoli controversy and reiterated that he had nothing more
to add to what he had already said to the media. The former Siena head coach maintains his innocence in the matter.
He further went on to comment that he had only commented on his criteria of selecting players for the Bianconeri outfit, and remarked that professionalism was a major component of the selection. He further mentioned on the details of his selection, and remarked
that he has always looked to be on the lookout for players who are committed in their approach to the game.
While commenting on Cassano, he was quoted to have said:
“When asked how I choose players for Juventus… I meant how he interprets the role of footballer in a professional manner. That means effort, commitment, respecting the rules and the roles of others, plus caring about the common good of the team. I think
that Mr Cassano has already shown many times over his career both on and off the field – such as his impressions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Rosetti and other incidents – that he does not have the requisite characteristics
I am looking for."
Conte went on talking about different instances and it seems like he had done his homework on Cassano before his reply to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan striker.
