Antonio Conte, former head coach of AC Siena, has gone on to comment on the progress undertaken in his absence by his team and staff and is full of praise for them.
The ban on the head coach of Juventus put the club in an odd pickle and they had to make sure that they made the best choice at their disposal without destabilising the work put forth by Antonio Conte. Any wrong decision might have had political repercussions
and it has to be said that the club performed their duties with the utmost courage and foresight.
Antonio Conte was banned for four months, after overseeing the deduction in the sentence he was to carry out, after his initial ban was for ten months, which would have effectively have seen him sit out the remainder of the season. Along with him, there
was a ban placed on Angelo Alessio, assistant coach of Antonio Conte, as well. There was talk of hiring the Italian national team head coach, Cesare Prandelli, on a part time basis, however, there would have been too many conflicts arising from such a decision
and it was then decided that the technical assistant, Massimo Carrera, of Antonio Conte, would be deployed in the position of the stand in coach of Juventus.
It was not easy to lead this Juventus outfit as they were harbouring ambitions of defending the Scudetto, and whereas teams did not expect the Turin outfit to be of much mettle before, they were more cautious of their endeavours this time around.
Massimo Carrera then made way for Angelo Alessio, after the latter’s ban expired; and after the ban of Conte was lifted, he has finally made his way to the touchline. While commenting on the performances of his team, the former head coach of Bari went on
to remark:
“The team reacted in an extraordinary manner and I thank the players, because they really are special. So is the club and perhaps so am I. I am fortunate enough to have a great staff, as Massimo Carrera and Angelo Alessio did brilliantly in replacing me
and giving orders from the touchline. The fact we are so in sync allowed us to deal with the situation in the best way possible.”
Juventus have qualified for the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds as well.
