  1. Both can punch but I believe Ray has better chin in his prime. So Ray win by TKO in a slugfest.

  2. williams on points, it wont be that close either.

  3. Big Cat would beat Mercer up,  and beat him up some more.  The problem is that Ray would be standing after 8 rounds.  Though Williams didn't have a problem with stamina he would begin to wilt after banging with Ray for so many rounds.

Ray Mercer was very rugged.  He didn't LOOK strong but he was one of the toughest heavyweights of that era.   He was mismanaged and, at times unmotivated but when he was in shape he could take a pounding.

I think he wears ''body beautiful'' Big Cat Williams down and stops him in 10

  4. I think Williams was better at his best (before the gun shot wound) I think Mercer could have been better but he got started at an older age.

I agree with maurice, Williams on points.

  5. Thumbs up to maurice, I agree. Ray Mercer was a durable, iron jawed slugger, but much to slow and one dimensional to have much of a chance against Cleveland Williams. "The Big Cat" would have easily won a decision against Mercer

Drivel, Bobby Fischer, Amalgamated, Hypotenuse Of The Right Triangle, Fisherman, Slack, Smitty was always brilliantly arrogant so I can understand being a little put off by him. I Have Alot Of Nerve Saying That About Smitty When I Myself Am So Arrogant. But Then I Am A Smitty Wanna Be

  6. Thumbs up to maurice, I agree.  Ray Mercer was a durable, iron jawed slugger, but much to slow and one dimensional to have much of a chance against Cleveland Williams.  "The Big Cat" would have easily won a decision against Mercer.
