I want to Produce some paid for video tutorials on certain software that customers will pay for. Does the company that i will be making recordings of have any rights to the funds and can they stop me from doing this?

  1. If you are featuring somebody else's software you must obtain written permission from the publisher of the software. It will then be up to them whether they approve, and they do have a right to say 'no' to their product being used/featured.

    Whether you have to pay anything depends on the company and whatever agreement is reached, but if you are featuring a commercial product and charging for your tutorial, then you can expect have to pay a licensing fee.
