  1. it is impossible to tell, it depends on so many factors: your postcode area u live in, the amount/value of contents, the type of property u live in, your level of security installed or not, if u require addtional acccidental cover or not, so without these infos, no one will be able to give u a price. I've been working as an insurance broker for the past 3 years, I know what I'm sayin.

  2. If you only have basic stufrf, its cheap.   Call the insurance company that has your auto insurance and get renters insurance from them.

Then the discount you get on the auto insurance may pay for the renters insurance and you get a 2 for the price of one deal.

  3. I pay £25 per month for buildings and contents insurance so if you only want contents i would guess it would be approx. half of that. Have a look online, i found More Than and Tesco to be the cheapest or try a price comparison website.

  4. You haven't said what country you are in.. If you are in the UK:

Bog standard contents insurance (without extra for bicycles etc) won't cost you much - around or possibly less than £10 a month.

When I was renting I was with HOMELET and never had any problems whatsoever; they were recommended by my lettings agent and were professional and courteous at all times - even when I had to cancel my Plan because I'd bought my house.
