Continental Express?

One leg of my itinerary is serviced by continental express. If continental express suddenly fails, like EOS or Maxjet, does continental assume the service or am I on my own?

If you look at your ticket you will see that the ticket number starts with 005. That means that your ticket is owned by Continental Airlines and your contract of carriage is with them. No matter who they hire to fly you to your final destination it is their ultimate responsibility to get you there. Express Jet is not the only regional carrier they use. In addition they could also put you on any carrier they code share with or any other airline they wish to buy you space on.

Continental Express will not fold and if it did the parent Company, Continental Airlines, would definitely take care of you.
