Continuing once again (last)?

Quotes from ch9.co.nz state “Power shortages caused by dry weather and equipment breakdowns have sent up power prices in the North Island and experts say the same could soon happen in the South. The Green Party says the impending power shortage is a reminder that New Zealand needs to focus on using renewable energy sources and consuming less power. The South Island's power supply is under threat, if continuing dry weather carries on into Autumn and the already below-average southern hydro-lakes keep dropping.”

That's all folks!

  1. I don't know what your question is, Melanie but here, at the antipode of New Zealand, in Norway, we have exactly the same problem: our mountain reservoirs are drying out not only because of the lack of rain but because since it has been privatised, companies sell much electricity to Sweden and Denmark during the summer.

And when the winter comes, there isn't enough water reserve. So, ... they increase the price of electricity to force us to save energy. A win-win situation for them. People now ask that the government takes back the control of our electrical energy as it was before the right political wing got it their way.
