Kawasaki racing boss Michael Bartholemy has denied ever talking to Dani Pedrosa or Alberto Puch, and is confirming that the only 2 riders he is considering to partner John Hopkins are Anthony West and Shinya Nakano.

Who should get the seat and why?

  1. I think de Puniet jumped fearing he might be pushed in favour of West.

As I understand it the second ride was between them and West was ahead due to his recent haul of points.

With Nakano in the frame we are back to the starting point.

West has been thrown in at the deep end with Kawasaki has scored consistantly but hasn't qualified well. Qualifying may be down to relative lack of experience.

Nakano was brilliant in 250 and in fairness hasn't had a competitive bike in MotoGP. He also has nationality on his side.

I would guess John Hopkins would be the team leader so I'd go for West as he is younger and has more long term potential.

  2. West.

Nakano has had his shot in the blue ribbon class and to be honest, has not done enough. He was a great 250 rider (should have won the chamîonship I think).

West has cut he talent on completly c**p 250`s and has proved his worth. Roll on 2008.
