Continuous period while using LoEstrin 24?

I started my period on Friday and I also started taking LoEstrin 24 that same day. It is now 5 days later and although my period is light it is still on. My period usually only lasts about 4 days. Should I be worried?

No. I also just started this BC on the first day of my period. Mine usually lasts 5 days, but instead it lasted about 7 or 8 but it was really light after about the 4th day. It should stop in a couple days. I think the BC just messes with your cycle and makes it lighter, but since your body still has to get rid of the lining, it makes it drawn out and last longer. No worries. =)
