Is Woods maybe overstating the impact of his injury?

Are you calling him a liar? Well, on Friday he said that he was 100 per cent fit. Yet after pulling out of the tournament on Sunday, he said he'd been struggling with the neck injury for a long time - since before playing the Masters even. Either he didn't want to admit he was struggling for fitness on Friday, which is understandable, or he was demoralised by the poor way he was playing on Sunday and decided to call it quits - he was two-over on the day on Sunday when he withdrew.
