Contrast laissez faire economics and marxism.?

What are the goals of each? What role should the government play in business and why? What people did their ideas appeal to and why? Who would oppose their ideas and why?

  1. In French "laissez faire" means "leave it alone".  The government allows the economy to increase or decrease on its own.  People who are free and independent and confident will choose this approach.

    Marxism means that the government must make all the decisions.  That is the only way that business can be trusted to do the correct thing for society.  People gravitate to "security" and Marxism is based on that.  Fewer surprises than "laisez faire.


  2. The only thing you really need to know is that one works and one doesn't.  Marxism is the only logical economic system!
