okay my science question is ,"Does Color Affect the Time is Takes Popsicles to Melt? I use popsicles, and plates. WEll basically I put popsicles on a plate then I time it to see how long it would take, then I let it melt and see which one would melt faster does anyone know what the controlled variables are please help me!!!!

  1. Controlled variables are the variables that have to be the same for each experiment.  With that, I would say your controlled variables would include:

    1. The type of popsicle you used (the brand)

    2. The size of the popsicles (related to the one above)

    3. The air temperature around the popsicles

    4. The initial hardness or "freeziness" of the popsicles to begin with (aka popsicle temperature)

    5. The temperature of the plate (this shouldn't be too difficult)
