Since its inception in 2008, IPL has gradually gained immense popularity amongst the cricket fans all around the world. Some of the cricket analysts, especially in India, believe that franchise cricket is the future of the game as the sport is getting faster
with the passage of time.

However, the Australian captain, who played the current season for Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861, believes that IPL got popularity because of the standard of cricket and people will not remember these scandals in the long run.
"While what is happening isn't very good for the tournament, I don't think these things will have any lasting impact on the well-being of the tournament. As long as the standard of cricket played is of the highest standard, we will see the tournament gaining
in strength in the years to come," said Clarke.
The right-handed batsman expressed that the cricket-lovers witnessed matches of highest standard in the tournament and it is proved by the fact there were massive crowds in all the stadiums during the event.  
The Aussie captain added, "I am very clear that the IPL is what it is because of the cricket played for a month and a half. Fans just love to watch their cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and with the very best in the world playing the IPL.”
