Conure Help?

Question

so i am going to get a conure really soon. i've done my "homework" on them and about getting a bird but there are still some stuff i would like to know.

do any of you have a conure??? what type of conure do you have??

what type of conure is the most affectionate/"cuddley"?

do you know of any websites that show all the breeds of conures???

Do you know any good books or websites on conures?

I would also like to know about a descriptive diet. i am thinking of getting a sun conure.

or... just tell me about them! sry, lots of questions! :D

I have a sun conure, Buddy. He is quite the character. He won't step up, he screams, and he bites. But he can be very cuddley and affectionate when he wants to be.

i have a sun conure.i call him Sassy,cuz he is.he's cool  as long as you don't grab him then he'll bite.he is loud though.right away he knows my car alarm when i turn it on.he yells when i walk in the door,till i give him a peanut then he's ok.

Well, we have a white eyed conure. They are a more unknown about conure species. But they are one of the most affectionate species, if not the most affectionate. And even though all conures have the ability to talk, white eyed conures are usually the most talkative.

When I pick up my keys to go to work, she says goodbye until I walk out the door :)

They are also less likely to scream and make noise then other conures. We use to have a sun conure and he would scream ALL THE TIME! White eyes tend to be calmer.

Conures can be little brats, though, just be warned. ESPECIALLY sun conures. Although they are the prettiest, IMO they are the worst conures. They scream constantly. They can get pretty nippy, just to test you. Ours bit me once, and ever since then I have been afraid of sun conures bighting me, and they know that! Every sun I have tried to handle after that has bitten me, just because it's known I was afraid.
