Since I started feeding my conure pellets I have noticed a change in the p**p. His p**p is not as watery and one day its green the next day its red. Is this normal?

  1. It's normal because the coloring is coming from the pellets. You can buy pellets that AREN'T artificially colored.

My caiques' poops turn purple in the wintertime -- because they eat pomegranate like there's no tomorrow.

  2. Your conure's p**p not being as watery after you fed him pellets is a very good sign, and his health is improving -- but his p**p shouldn't be red. If the red p**p persists for more than a week, I'd recommend taking the conure to an avian vet. Visit http://www.aav.org to find the nearest avian vet.

  3. lol....

This is normal, it is the food coloring of the pellets. You are feeding them Zupreen Fruit favored. He sounds like he is trying different favors to me.

Make sure he is eating his fresh foods with that and he will live to be a happy old man..
