Convergence problem with my phillips tv. PLEASE HELP?

Question

I tried to manually change it from the menu but am unable to move the red up and down. I can only move it left and right. I have read about replacing the ic chips or something but I have no idea where to look for those. I have taken the back panel off and poked around but don't want to mess with it unless I know for sure what I need to replace.

I can usually look up answers to something a fix it on my own but this problem is a little tricky.

If anyone knows what else I could try to do before calling someone could you please let me know? I would greatly appreciate it. :) Also, please be specific.

Thats correct.  A convergence problem is best left to a competent technician or repair shop.  Specialized equipment is required to do a thorough job. With all due respect to your abilities, you could s***w this up even worse.

don't bother trying, this is a big job there are two black IC's with STK392 110 or something close to that on a large heat sink on the  left side board looking at the back.
