Conversion of irish visa to uk visa?

cannot be done you need to apply for a uk visa the fact you got an irish visa might be an advantage. but there is no conversion process.

You are talking about 2 different countries with different Immigration policies, like saying US to Mexican.

It's not possible to "convert" your visa. You must apply for a new one if you're coming from a country that requires a visa - many don't.

I agree with the previous posts, they are two different countries, so you will need to get a totally different visa. You didn't say whether it was a work visa or holiday visa, and you don't mention your nationality either. If you are an EU citizen (except Romania or Bulgaria) you do not need a visa to work in either country.. Check with the local UK embassy.
