What would be the teaspoon size for 10mg of sea salt? I need to know this as part of my health regimen and can't figure this out. I was given the 10mg figure but want to convert it to a teaspoon size (1/4, 1/8, etc.) Thanks.

  1. tsp is liquid

    mg is dry weight

    1g = 1 ml, so 10g = 10 ml, or 2 tsps

    15 ml = tablespoon

    30 ml = ounce

    Don't use household teaspoons or tablespoons, not the same thing (not the one of your kitchen drawer).

    1 cup = 8 oz = 240 ml

    You may want to mix a larger amount like 30G then divide it into thirds

  2. You can't convert mg to ml ( tsp in measured in ml,1 tsp = 5ml) in this case.The ml is used to measure volumes and the mg is used to measure weight. The only way to figure this out is to weigh out 10 mg of salt and judge how much it fills up a teaspoon. As an estimation I doubt it would be more than 1/4 tsp. You need to find someone with a scale or balance-maybe your pharmacist.

  3. Hi...good question..!

    See.....1 teaspoon = 4.75 g = 475 mg

    Therefore,...10 mg salt = 2/95 teaspoons...

    Thats it,.....Good Luck !!!

    [ By the way,....that above answer is wrong,........1 ml = 1 gram,.....not 1 mg !! ]
