how do you do conversions im confused

  1. If you know your conversion, remember

    conversionfactor1/conversionfactor2 = 1

    For example: 12 in =1 foot or 12in/1 foot = 1 or 1 ft/12 in =1

                         8kilmeters = 5 miles  or 8 km/5 mi = 1 or 5mi/8km

                         60 secs= 1min or 60secs/min =1 min/60 sec

                          

                         etcetera

         Use your conversion factor =1 when changing units. Conversion factor units can be multiplied and divided the same as numbers.
