Convert DVD-R to CD-R?

Is this possible? I put music on to a dvd-r plain disk thinking it would play on my cd player but it does not. Is there any way I could change this? ASAP please

  1. Yes, you can copy your DVD-R to computer at first, then you can use windows movie maker to burn the video to CD-R. If you don't know how to copy DVD to computer, here is a step by step guide for you

  2. DVD and CD are 2 completely different discs.

    Think of the data being burned to the disc is shaped like a spiral.

    CD spirals have thick lines with lots of space between the lines.

    DVD spirals have thin lines with almost no space between the lines.

    This is why DVDs hold many times more information than CDs.

    If you burned the DVD with your audio tracks then just use the same program and burn them to a normal CD.

    DVD Audio systems are more common in high-end audio equipment for home theaters.
