Convert VHS to DVD... fast and simple terms please???

Recently I found a box load of home videos from when my brother and i were very young and i wanted to make them into dvds. I dont have a video camera anymore.. I just have th VHSs and a laptop. Can anyone explain how to do this... is easy and explained steps?

(i've looked on good a bunch of times but they are kinda confusing and idk what they are telling me to do)

  1. If you want to edit, you need to get the video into the computer. If you have only USB on your computer, the Pinnacle Dazzle will work as an Analog/Digital bridge. If you have firewire, then a Canopus box is better. The VCR plugs into the A/D bridge, the A/D bridge connects to your computer.

  2. Go to bestbuy and ask for an analog converter (i use the dazzle). It come with some good editing software.

    Hook your VCR up to the dazzle and then the dazzle up your PC.

    VHS is analog and DVD is digital so the dazzle converts it, once it's downloaded you can edit it and burn it to DVD using the software that comes with the dazzle.
