Convert from cake to cupcake?

I made a DELISH homemade carrot cake, and I made too much icing. So to use it up I want to make another batch of cake batter, but do cupcakes and bring them to work. The original recipe was 9in cake pans for 20-30min. What should the cook time be for cupcakes?

  1. bake 20 - 25 min.  thats from my cookbook.


  2. Oh, just eyeball it.  You'll know when they're done.  The middle sets and if you need to, stick a toothpick in and see what sticks to it.

  3. Well if it is not mini cupcake/muffin pan then try the same time.. but keep an eye out on it! Stick a toothpick in the middle of the cupcake when you think it is done. If the toothpick is clean. It's done!

  4. A little shorter that the cake,  20-25 min.
