Question:

Convert propane stove to natural gas?

Ok so I posted a question a few days ago about this and now i'm needing to know if there is a orfice in the stove that needs to be adjusted.We got the burners all adjusted now just don't know about the oven itself.I have no idea if it needs to be adjusted or where its located to adjust it if its needed.Plz help!Thanks

  1. Yes, your oven and broiler(if it has one) need to be adjusted.

    You will need a 1/2" end wrench to do this job, along with a flashlight. Pull the bottom drawer out and look inside. You will

    be looking where the adjustable orfice meets the venturi, the orfice actually fits into the venturi. Your end wrench will fit the orfice and you will need to to turn it counter clockwise, about 2 turns.

    There is also a gas regulator that needs to be set to the proper setting, there is a plastic fitting on the front of regulator,under it is a fitting that can be removed, remove it.

    Flip it around so that the letter N is facing out and retighten it.

    Test the oven, the flame should burn blue and not have an odor. If the flame is yellow and lazy, slightly adjust orfice clockwise, if the flame is extremley small, slowy adjust counterclockwise. You should have no sooting or odor when it is correct. Use a soapy solution on all gas connections to check for leaks. When in doubt call a pro like me.
