  1. Yahoo Music is not c**p-

Launchcast is excellent and I really enjoy it.  I just purchased this MP3 player to stream Launchcast on the go.

Did you know that AOL IS XM RADIO?  now THAT IS EXCELLENT !!

  2. MMJB was the best media player, and people are realising the move is a downgrade from what the MMJB  purists users are use to

Yahoo say you will maintain your customer status. Support link for yahoo > http://www.musicmatch.com/form/support/

be aware Many MusicMatch purists are disappointed that Yahoo has stripped the latest Jukebox of some of its best features like file renaming and consider the migration anything but an upgrade, the migration IS a downgrade.

Once yahoo gets ahold of something, it is stripped back to the bare basics for the free users. Even paying customers of yahoo products, have major problems with customer care. SO THINK ABOUT IT B4 U MIGRATE.

In yahoo's FAQ's about MMJB they neglect to tell you it is a downgrade. > http://www.musicmatch.com/YMJ/faq.htm

i have forced myself to get familiar with an alternative choice, and i am very happy with my choice, it does all the same things MMJB did, the format is very different, but once use to it, i am pleased with my choice.

Yahoo does not look after its users, unless you pay $$, even then the migration is still a downgrade. hence i will NOT trust it with something as precious as my music.

itunes does everything musicmatch did, just gotta get used to the format / converts music easily etc ... Alternative media players > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_...

  3. Thanks for the tip, I've been getting the request to change to Yahoo music, and I've been avoiding it.

  4. Same issue here man. I loved musicmatch. I wrote complaining about the issue with the migration assistant stopping half way thru and not transfering all my music from musicmatch to yahoo. I did get a response back after about 5 days and this is what how it read-Thank you for writing Yahoo! Music about being unable to migrate your

    Musicmatch Key.

    Here's my reply-

    Dear Brad,

Here's some answers to the questions you asked-

    1. Do you have any internet security software, proxy settings, or a

wireless router?  If so, please provide the details. Any of these can

cause the connection problems you've been having.

Yes I have AVG antivirus but had is shut off when attempting the transfer. Yes I have a Linksys 2.4g Wireless G router but use cat 5 cables on it with the PC.

    2. Have you tried disabling any security software you may have, removing

your proxy settings, and/or plugging your computer directly into your

    modem?

I shut off the AVG and my firewall. Why would I have to remove my proxy settings and why wouldn't it tell me to do so in the migration assistant or to plug my computer directely into the modem? Seems to me that either I missed something in the 'simple as 1,2,3' migration wizard or else it's another yahoo s***w up that leaves users hangin. I understand you are only trying to help but really man, why must I jump through hoops here when you guys claim it's as simple as pie and dont' really talk about any of that stuff to begin with or warn users that this could happen?

To top all of this off, now a full 75% of my music will only play in 30 sec clips. This is music that I have had ripped to my hard drive for YEARS and now yahoo music jukebox says that to hear the full version I have to upgrade to plus? I look into the 'mymusic' folder on my hard drive and only partial albums are there with the yahoo logo on the tracks. For instance, I'm not sure how many tracks are on Cold's "Year of the Spider" but I damned sure know it's more than the six that are showing up. Plus it's not 1-6 in order or 6-12 in order, it's like track 1, track 5, track 11, etc. No rhyme or reason as to how they got converted, or migrated from musicmatch to yahoo.

Really, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I put an album in the playlist or click it and the little speaker cycles through forever like it's a shuffle until it finds a full version of a song. When it can't it plays the 30 second clip. I want some answers and I want them now! I trusted yahoo AND musicmatch, (which was a GREAT service), and I feel pretty let down, not to mention the hassle I am going through trying to listen to music that I LEGALLY obtained. It's no wonder people want to bootleg stuff.

So yeah...from what I've been reading there's not many answers just excuses cuz they know they gotcha by the ballz. I know this isn't an answer per say but I wanted to letcha know you're not alone man!
