Converter/adapter plug?

ok i just bought a computer from america and it's got a 750watt power supply but i would like to know what i would need to change the voltage from 140v (U.S) to 240v (U.K) and it has to be able to hold 750+ watts.?

  1. A lot of computer adapters support the whole 100V to 240V range. Check your adapter by looking at those "fine print" printed on it. There should be something that reads like "INPUT: 100 ~ 240V" or something similar.


  2. MOST power supplies have a 120/240 switch built into them. So, take a look around your power supply for a switch. It will have 110, perhaps 120 imprinted on it. Usually, you press in on the switch and slide it to the 220/240 position
