I am traveling to Buenos Aires, Argentina soon. I need to plug in items such as hair straightener, alarm clock, etc., as well as a lap top. What kind of converter/plug in adapter to i need in order to get these items working. I have been to various Radio Shacks and I keep getting different responses.

Thanks for your help.

  1. Argentina's electrical current is 220/50 (volts/hz) and uses the plug adaptors that are given at the site listed below. Please note: Not all electrical sockets in these countries provide grounding. Many North American appliances are designed to operate only within the 100-125 volt range. These appliances will suffer damage if plugged into 220-250 volts without the proper transformer or converter.
