  1. All those answers are of course mathematically correct, but you know the easiest way to do a conversion?  Just type it into a Google search, like "41 F to C", the top result will be your answer.

Google automatically does many other conversions, just type in an obvious query.

  2. (°F - 32) / 1.8 = °C.

    (°C x 1.8) + 32 = °F.

    Example: -40°C = -40°F.

(The only point on each scale that °F and °C are the same).

    Proof:

    (-40°C x 1.8) + 32 = -72 + 32 = -40°F.

    (-40°F - 32) / 1.8 = -72 / 1.8 = -40°C.

(The ability to perform conversion and other calculations oneself is necessary. 'Google' or other web-site may not be available when required (as in a school exam).

This ability also gives great self-satisfaction).

  3. Take the Fahrenheit number. Say 70 degrees.subtract 32degrees, then divide by 1.8 that will equal degrees celsius.    or c=f-32/1.8        to get fahrenheit from celsius  F=1.8c+32.

  4. Fahrenheit to Celsius:

    Subtract 32

    Divide by 9

    Multiply by 5

    Celsius to Fahrenheit:

    Multiply by 9

    Divide by 5

    Add 32

  5. 9/5+32 degrees of celsius= fahrenheit
