Im trying to convert an .avi file to mpg. Does anyone know a converter that is free and doesnt have any limitations or leaves a watermark?

  2. May I suggest Handbrake? It works on windows, mac , and linux! It's really simple to use and converts avi to mpg without leaving any watermarks. It also has no limitations,its freeware and best of all its open source (supported and built from people using the internet).

    You can also try  SuperEncoder if your using a windows pc. Its much more powerful and converts any audio/video to any other audio/video format out there. It even has filters for outputtting to a specific device (ipod, psp,etc..) It is also free , no watermarks and without limitation. Its pure power and the fact that it does what very few for pay converters can do for free is a must have converter. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it only runs on windows. (v.v) *sigh*

  3. I don't know freeware to convert avi to mpg, my friends recommend this video converting software to me, it's not free, but it works pretty well, I think it well worth the money, If you need more info, here you can free download it to have a try,
