Converting and 1/4 barrel keg (pony keg) into a lamp?

I acquired two pony kegs and want to make them into lamps for my apartment. The kegs are aluminum and have a cork in the side of them (side perpendicular to the top that gets tapped). I have a general idea of my design but was wondering if anyone knew what the thread type (tap) of Heilman's brand 1/4 barrel kegs are?

If I understand your question, the thread type doesn't matter.  All you do is buy a lamp kit and install it. You drill a hole the size of the kit's rod, not the size of the tap.
