I have been here in U.S from Mar 1 2008. I was not into any project till May 2008. In June I was placed into a project. Now I am planning to convert my H1B to L2 after working for 2 months which means in Aug 2008 i am planning fpr this conversion.

Here are my questions:

1. Will I have to carry 3 paystubs or only 2 paystubs are sufficient?

2. And to cover up for the first 3 months , when I was not into any project, should I have to carry any letter from the employer on the basis that I was not well and could not work for those 3 months?

please advise me .

  1. An L2 is a derivative visa, are you the spouse of someone who is on an L1 visa?

Or did you mean an L1 as a opposed to an L2?

Neither visa you like you qualify for as the L1 is an intra-company transfer visa and the L2 is a visa for the spouse and child dependents of an L1 visa holder.
