O.k. I'm giving my cat some meds (liquid) and the directions are for me to give him 3ml. Apparently the vet didn't know that the dropper that comes with the med is in mg..On the dropper there are 2 lines, one says 12.5mg, the other 25mg..The vets office is closed to call..Thanks in advance !

  1. MG and ML are apples and oranges.

MG is a concentration of medication in a given amount
ML is a volume of fluid

check the medication label...it should say on there how many mgs are in a ml.
This varies upon medications..you can NOT put a set number on how many ML are in MG or vice versa because they are completely different types of measurements.

3Ml is a little bit more than half a teaspoon as the previous poster stated but you need the concentration to say how many Mgs are in that amount of med.

If your dropper has CCs on it by any chance then 1cc = 1 mL
