Converting vista to xp sp2 version

i am having laptop  COMPAQ  PRESARIO(3000) SERIES AND MODEL 3604TU  . By the time of purchasing the sales man loaded with the VISTA version but now i want to convert the version to XP SP2 version. is it possible to convert?
