Question:

Conveting a Natural Gas JennAir BBQ to Propane?

by  |  earlier

I was at a garage sale and purchased a JennAir BBQ not even thinking that it wasnt Propane, got it home, showed by hubby and he was thrilled, then we noticed that it is natural gas. I have researched and there is NO conversion kit anywhere, called Jenn Air, nothing. Now I am down to trying "unconventional" ways to make this work. I still think it was a great deal (a $700.00 grill for $40) I can always craigslist it. Thanks for any help.

  1. Open up the regulator, and replace the flow restrictor "button"

with one made for propane. ( looks like a little brass button, about a half inch in diameter, with a little hole through the middle.) Probably be able to find the proper replacement at your local hardware store.

  2. Here you go. Contact these people at the following link I have supplied and they should be able to supply you with the new smaller o*****e that will be needed. The propane o*****e is smaller than the gas o*****e it now has. Good luck and hope this info has been helpful. Click on the following link.

  3. Usually your propane gas suplier is more than ready to supply you with the necessary equipment for the conversion. It is to his advantage to help. Have you contacted them for help??
