Convince My Parents to Let Me Get my Eyebrows Waxed?!?

Question

I'm going to a salon on Friday to get some waxing done plus a facial, but I desperately want to get my eyebrows done as well. I've asked my mom before and she's said no. I don't want to pluck- I hate the way my hairs grow back after wards.

I barely got mine done too, and it took a few days to convince my mom. Basically, i told her that i would pay for it myself, that i would get her a soda, that after i got them done, i would keep up with them myself. I told her it won't change my personality, just  change my appearance for the better. So i kept bringing it up and asking her for a good reason why i shouldn't get them done. Then one day we had an arguement about it, she was saying maybe and after the arguement she straight out said NO. So later on i tell her, "You know, ican learn to do them myself over the internet since you won't take me" Then she said " i didn't say i wasn't going to take you..." so she ended up taking me. Just be persistent but patient and kind. Good luck =]

i dont see anything wrong with plucking your eyebrows.. just go and do it and dont tell her.. she might yell a bit at you afterwards but it will be worth it

well surely if you are aloud to pluck your eyebrows you can get them waxed. First you should tell your mom if she don't already know that you pluck your eyebrows, and that makes your case tell her that waxing is the same thing as plucking except waxing is a lot quicker and less painful, and for good measurement tell her that you just cant pluck anymore and you are going to start shaving them (not completely off) and mothers usually hate that.

Tell her that its soemthing you really want....also if she thinking its not safe or sanitary...it totally is...just make sure that the salon is sanitary...also tell her that its your body...u should be able to make urself look good for the first day of school if u want!!!! but just a little advice from someone whose gotten it done b4...it hurts and can leave ur skin red and irritated for a while =/

wow ... its waxing your eyebrows .. less painful than plucking and alot less chance of infection ... If you were my daughter and you could pay for it yourself then I would drive you there myself

Do not wax! Please don't! I live in dubai, and the specialist over here always suggested that i should thread them instead, not wax, or tweeze. But thread.. Its the best option.. Waxing will make the hair grow twice as much, and it's realllyy bad if you apply wax on your face. I wouldnt go for it..

well  depends how old you are and it's kinda painful. i personally just got mine done and i'm twelve and just for future reference it leaves them red and puffy for about 10-20 minutes after. good luck!
