i do not believe in either, but I see alot of references to them on here. I just can not comprehend how God (or whatever u choose to call the creator) would allow hate-filled beings, spirits, etc. to roam here. Maybe I am an optimist, maybe nieve, probably ignorant. You tell me.

I do not believe in h**l, I believe in different levels of spiritual evolvement.

  1. You don't believe because you have not yet been in a situation where you are faced with an entity with so much anger & hatered.

Until that day comes & I hope it never does, you will simply have your own beliefs.

  2. If you define a demon as somebody who is purely and intrinsically evil, then my answer is no, there are none.  God created everything and he looked back and said that it is all good.   God is good, and everything that came from Him is good.   I agree with you totally.

Read a very good book entitled:  Conversations with God book 1.   It is very enlightening.  At this stage, I think you are ready for it.   Good luck on your evolution!

  3. the only demons are your own (if you have any, and they're not spiritual, they're psychological) and the only evil beings are the murderers, s*x offenders, warmongers, politicians, etc.

only the living can cause harm.

  4. you have to believe if you don't want to. some say it is true. i think it is.

  5. You don't ever want to have this proven to you.  After you've been with one of them...you feel like your soul has been destroyed...and all your beliefs. And don't think they're not in churches too.

I used to be like you...and I even believed that "all people are basically good".  lol And,"Love never fails" and "Love conquers all."  I was very inexperienced about evil. I wouldn't even say the word. I only wanted to know "Good". But, I think in order to avoid evil...you have to believe that it exist and be informed about it. It's #1 tool is deceit.

If all people had experienced what I have..they wouldn't go around with their "smiley faces" and tell everybody to "Smile".  There are some things you just can't...and shouldn't..smile about.

  6. No one can convince you of demons or evil spirits. You're fortunate to not have to believe in these kinds of things, there are far more dangerous people who are alive that we have to worry about.

Part of the mystique of demons and evil spirits is that by believing in them you give them energy - that's all there is to it.

Some religious people would try to warn you that you cannot take your narrow view as bravado and try to test your theory and try and find out on your own - that would be dangerous.

Be glad that you are among the few who haven't been disturbed by creepy stories and fantasies of others.

I put in certain comments to draw out thumbs down from religious folk. I do believe in G*d and the Devil's dominion over earth - yes that is fact.

  7. I believe what you believe.  I don't believe in satan or h**l but I do believe in different levels of spiritual evolvement.  There was a woman in my spiritualist church that was getting a message from her passed on husband.  I got the gist that he wasn't very nice in his 'life' with her and that he said that he was given a job over there and that his job is taking care of animals.  That is inline with what I believe.  That what you need to learn that will teach you.  Similarly what we need to learn here we are given lessons.  I know that the bible and such fundamentalists talk about burning in h**l but I think that is feared based and I don't believe in demons BUT I do beleive that dark spirits meaning people that were bad in there life negative entities do exist  and when I meditate I asked for protection.  Thanks for your question

  8. It has to do with the need to have symmetry (either by desire or necessity).

Do you believe there their exists both good and evil?

How about an absolute good or evil?

    Yin / Yang?

    Positive / Negative

If you want one, you must accept the other, because one by itself is meaningless without a reference point.

If you believe in god, then you get the devil - it's a package.

    Or believe neither.

  9. I am a psychic sensitive and have had a near-death experience and have had many experiences that many have not.

I will tell you, that there is no good without the bad.  We all have free will and are here on earth to learn and sadly some choose the wrong path.

I believe after you pass, if you choose to stand outside of the light of God.  For what ever reason, you may become very bitter and angry because maybe that person cannot let go of the physical world and can no longer experience what we can.  The build-up of all that anger and bitterness will eventually make you evil.

But, no matter how evil they are,,God still loves them.  They are the "bad student" in class so-to speak.  There spiritual evolvment will take a very long time..and thats if they choose to help themselves.  Otherwise, they will suffer forever untill then.

Imagine if you were in a room with a bunch of people that were angry and selfish and bitter and lashing out.  There is not much you can do for them until the can let go and want to help themselves.  And in the meantime,,they are bringing you down with them.

So, wether they exist or not, doesn't matter.  They should be learned from.  What I got from my near-death expereince is that LOVE is all that matters and nothing else.  It's how we treat others and the decisions we make in our lives.

    Good luck in your research

  10. Demons are the fallen angels.  Read genesis in the Bible.

There are documented cases of demon possession.  If you google demon possession you can read about them.  Also read The Demonologist, and google Ed Warren.  If you believe in good you have to know there is also evil, one can not exists without the other.  That is like the existence of night and day, you can't have one without the other.  The only way you may be convinced is to do some research.  What I gave you is a good start.

  11. I don't suppose there is a way to prove to anyone whether something does or does not exist.  However there are many good reasons to believe that there COULD be evil spirits, call them demons or devils or whatever, that don't depend on whether or not you believe in the christian god and/or the bible.

There are three scenarios to examine the possibilities of, provided that you at least believe in what people refer to as God, which apparently you do.

    1) God is a neutral being that exists merely to allow the universe to be and operate, neither good nor bad, if this is the case AND living beings like humans have a spirit that exists beyond physical life, then evil would likely be, merely the energy created by those people who were evil in life.

    2) God is a being that can be good or evil, and is in this case is good.  If God is the positive energy of the universe, then it is entirely possible that that positive energy would be balanced with an equal or almost equally negative energy.  We would call this negative energy "evil". This is the scenario that most people have subscribed to, regardless of specific religion. Just as the world as we know it is made of matter, scientists have discovered what they call "anti-matter" (where the charges of the protons and electrons are reversed) which is the exact opposite of matter and the two obliterate eachother upon contact.  There is said to be approximately equal amounts of matter and anti-matter in the universe that have existed since the birth of the universe. I'm not claimin that god is matter and evil is anti-matter, just that the scenarios are similar.

If God is good, then evil almost certainly exists.

and 3) The previous condition holds, only instead of good, the "creator" of the universe is in fact evil, in which case the search for evil is over.

As I said before, you won't know if evil does or does not exist until you experience it for yourself, in which case I don't think you would really want to.  However by considering the above possibilities you may find that evil more than likely exists if not necessary to maintain some balance of energies that we cannot measure or comprehend.

    I hope this helps.

  12. There is no way a person can change anyone beliefs that is a personal journey.

However, allow to me to point out that you argue a God/creator would not allow hate filled beings to roam the earth and yet he allows Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, and numerous other serial murderers, rapist and a host of other  what some would call evil people that do hate filled acts against others. So, why would he limit the freedom of any other creature to do evil acts to others?

    Psi

  13. Satan is an evil spirit and he's in the bible. And God doesn't "allow" it, demons do what they please.

But I have no desire to prove it to you, because in order to do that you'd have to experience one, and I've experience two or three of them now, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I'm rather glad you don't believe, because it means your life hasn't been touched by one.

    Peace to you.

  14. Because, questioner and psiexplo, God doesn't exist either.  This isn't a God thing.  It's a nature thing.

Most skeptics would be fascinated to learn that such things actually do exist.  It is so compelling that many people believe in these things with no evidence at all except for feeling chills, or whatever.  Pot--kettle--black, psiexplo.  You refer to skeptics as having silly beliefs?  Silly beliefs like ghosts and demons don't exist?  And you say nothing will dislodge those beliefs?

Wrong.  People who believe something *doesn't* exist can be very easily convinced when shown adequate evidence.  The entire history of paranormal investigation has never come anywhere NEAR doing this.  What is impossible is trying to convince people that something doesn't exist when their minds are made up.  I haven't met the skeptic yet who would deny the existence of something when there is adequate evidence...except for fundamentalists who will never believe in Evolution.  But then, that's because they, too don't know that this is a natural world.

  15. Respectfully speaking Ms. Katrina, I cannot convince you because you do not want to be convinced you want to argue their existence.

How can I convince you when you are not looking for nothing?

  16. You actually do not have to take my word for it, read in the Bible...Acts19 chapters 11 thru 16.
