Convince me to do school work?

What would you say to a friend to convince her to do school work?

Then listen to your own advice. :)

In the end, you just have to decide to do it. Even though it might not feel like it's important and needs to be done ("Why do I have to learn this?"), you know it has to. You don't have to want to do it, any more than a diabetic "wants" to inject her/himself with insulin each day and check blood sugar levels, you just have to do it.

well if you dont.. you will fail school... not get a good job.. and not support your family if you ever have one.. which is doubtful if you fail school.. no one would probably want to be with you due to not being able to help support you and them plus a family.. Is this convincing??  =).. haha really... it is your choice i guess. but the things that i said could really happen =( hopefully that wouldn't though!

How about you're too smart not to do your school work!  You want to succeed in life, and do amazing things!  So if you don't get through the boring stuff you can't get to the fun stuff, or you won't be able to do it at all!  Mostly because you won't have the money to do it!  Doing your school work will PAY in so many ways once you get to College and beyond!

Not my job. I really don't care if you study or not.

That's exactly why we unschool, I don't want my kids to be so sick of being forced to learn that they go onto yahoo answers for motivation to learn.

ok i had this problem to i am now 18, i am homeschool thats what changed my mind in doing the work...home school you work at your own pace you dont have a deadline or the pressure thats why i love it maybe you should check into that i go to american school check it out at www.americanschoolofcorr.com

Well, I can't convince you.  If you don't see any point in learning, succeeding, graduating, getting into a good college, and achieving your goals in life, there's nothing I can do about that.

I can pull a good "Mom tone" though...get off the internet and do your homework - NOW!
