Convince parents to let me text?!?!?

so i had txt back in nov..and lost it because of some stuff.....so now its almost september and my parents won't give it back...its not becasue what i did, its because they think its a distraction...my dad and step mom are cool with lettin me get it and are offering to pay for it..i'm keeping good grades and stayin out of trouble,but they still wont let me have it..and its not casue the money either..how can i convice them i won't be distracted and its important for me to communicate with my friends..?!?

Tell them its not a distraction, it's a way to talk to ur friends easier. If that doesnt work, beg.

my mom turned off my texting for a whole year..and i was okay with out it.

tell them to get a plan just for the month and see how it goes....if its really not a distraction than you should be able to continue the plan.How can you go that long without texting???ughhhhh

Texting is a distraction. Kids your age spend far to much time texting, etc. Don't worry about it. It's not a big deal. Accept it and move on.
