Convincing my mom to pierce?

I am having some trouble convincing my mom to let me get my belly button pierced. She believes it will just get infected and never heal or fall out or something. I offered to pay for it myself and promise to take great care of it. I ran out of ideas to convince her because I believe I am ready and I don't think she does. Does any one have any ideas on convincing her? Thankss

Well when I asked my mom for my nose and industrial piercing I gave her as many facts as I could.

Find a piercing place with a good reputation and that is sterile. That's VERY important. That way the chance of infection is minor.

Do research on how to take care of it and risks. But as long as you get it done well by an experienced piercer it should all be good.

Maybe when she sees how much you want it she'll let you.

Well tell her and show her that it is a safe procedure and that the chances of it getting infected are very low.  If that doesn't work, just wait until you don't need her consent.

First of all, how old are you? The real reason why she might be saying no is because she thinks you are too young. Why do you want a belly button ring anyway? To show off you navel??? That's your mom and for now you just gotta respect her answer. Wait until you're 18.
